Pre-marriage meetings start tomorrow

What is the point? I don't know. All I can tell you I know is that it will save me about 50 bucks. So that is a good thing.
Now these are assumptions of what the meetings may be. I think it might be so that you can review what is about to happen and make sure that you both are ready for the wedding to go on. In this case I favor the meetings big time.
Did you know that the average marriage last a whole 7 years on average now and days? That is sad so any type of clarification as to the entire marriage and the for life answer that you will have to give is good.
Why shouldn't we be challenged to ensure that the choice we are planning to make is the one we really want to make and not a just a gust of courage.
Most engagements now and days are short. Which if I remember the right numbers they last less than six months then the wedding takes place. Now here is where I am going with that said.
Short engagements have equaled shorter marriages when you look at the numbers. If most people are going to rush into a wedding then there needs to be that small (if not large) event in between n which they have to sit down in a room with a certified clergy ( preferably the one doing the service)and have time to think about it and let it sit in. Maybe this should be a law to any one under the age of 24. I would go for it and I am 23. The marriages today are short lived in most cases and that is very very wrong.

Living God

Is it not insane to follow a god that you know is dead. So what separates a God from a man? I believe in one God because only one God says that he is alive after He was killed. Jesus said and is just that…alive.
Gautama,Buddha,Vardhammana ,Mahavria ,Confucius, and Mohammad.
Gods and Founders of different major living religions and yet they all have one thing in common. They are dead. Deader than a door nail. Jesus lived before me, lives during me, and will live with me after I die. I take my chances with a living God.A god is not God if He has a life span.

In all fairness to Intel

My very last post was a complete roast on Intel for their quad core processor and I was probably overly hard on them. So now I will making it up a bit and talking about what I do like about the Intel quad core.
Intel wanted to get it on the market quick and they made it happen. Yeah this was probably just so they could claim bragging rights and get their name in sync with the quad core for about a year before AMD even releases theirs. It is still nice to have the new CPU.
The big thing is that the AMD quad core makes alot of new changes that AMD should be trying to work out and work out fast. However it doesn't look like they will. The mobo you are using now...gone. You will need a bigger one to run the quad core cpu they are producing . Like wise you power supply... Get a better one. The days of 350 and 500 watt are winding down for a machines. AMD seems to be starting now. The powersupply that most users use in their home pc right now will simply not be able to run the cpu like it should and could even cause an oh-no. Your case that you just picked up for 165 to build your new computer. Forget about. You best have a heavy duty, large and in charge style if you even want to stand a chance.Why? Bigger mobo + bigger power supply= bigger case. Yep thats true my friend.
While AMD is working toward a new direction it is going to mean three things for people. 1 Upgrade you main components, 2 buy a computer that is already has the specs and runs the quad core, or switch to Intel.
Now the plus side to the Intel quad core performance. While the actual clock speed for the Intel cpu is slower than AND's in most gaming and applications it proformed better than the AMD cpu.
Right now it is really sort of hard to really test the applications that you can run with a quad core because most of the applications you use right now had no way of knowing the quad core would arrive from Intel so very fast. So once the quad starts getting really pushed around we will see who will win out the Quad core battle.

Quad Core? Now or Later?

Intel says this about it's version of the quad-core processor...
"It doesn't matter how you deliver the quad cores , just as long as you."
In other words, Would you rather have the quad core that Intel is now selling or would you rather wait until next year to have what AMD says, I agree with AMD, is the true quad core.
Intel has taken two dual core processors and put them one one chip. Nothing wrong with that right? Doesn't that make it a quad core processor. Yes but you have to take into account one thing. What do you sacrifice for this? Let me break it down.
Intel's quad core has the two dual processors that must set data back and forth to work right. This is where AMD get true quad core. While the Intel cpu is connected it takes more time to send the data through it and all the way back out of it.
AMD's on the other hand did not join two Athlon 64x2 chips together. They made one whole unit that runs as one. This is the true quad. There is no need for the relay back and forth between the four processors because nothing is separating them. They are actually one chip not two.
So what difference does that make?
Intel's Core 2 Extreme QX6800 has a clock speed of 2.66GHz. That is disappointing considering that the Dual Core version, Core 2 Extreme X6800, runs at a clock speed of 2.93GHz. Boo-Hiss.
AMD's quad core is a little more what you would expect. The lowest of the offered quad cores will run at a clock speed of 2.6GHz,FX-70, and from there it is up. The high end which could run at about 1,000(The Athlon 64 FX-74 will have a clock speed of 3 GHz. SO maybe now you can see the difference.

Once Saved Always Saved?

Over the last few nights I have had some great talks my friend. We have talked about John The Baptist, Jesus’ Birth, should we hate Satan or just hate his ways, and last night once saved always saved. It was a good long talk in which we both had a lot to say about the subject.

Romans 10 :9-10 says……”If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” NLT

Huh.!? So what about those who will come to Jesus in the end to hear ” depart from me I never knew you!” Didn’t I cast out demons and do many great things in your name?
I never knew you? Did this man know Jesus? No he didn’t! Even though he cast out demons and did some really cool stuff in Jesus name he must not have understood Jesus and how to get into His arms.Faith is what gets you there.

“But blog guy! What about the book of James?”
I was trying to get there. Slow your roll.

James said that faith with out works is dead faith and works with out faith is worthless work. Yes he did say that. So I have come to this answer that most won’t like…….

Why take a chance? I am very much unable to say at this point if we are saved always no matter what we do. I don’t know. I am looking and waiting for the answer to come to me about this topic. Until the day when I get to heaven why would you need to take a chance about this. Just follow Jesus and never let up. Keep learning and obeying Him the very best you can.

Becoming like Christ

With the title alone I have some peoples eyes sinned against God. If I don’t read the KJV I am sinning. If I slip up and sin and don’t run to tell others about my failure I am hiding an evil life. Today I was asked by my a friend of mine if I was going to attend the night service. I had no intention of doing so and told the truth right there before a small crowd of people.

Before I knew it another man stepped into the conversation. My friend asked me why not and to be honest my girlfriend was getting back to Knoxville and we needed to talk about stuff involving our upcoming wedding and a few other events we will be facing. This man steps up to bat and in a swift blow hits a foul ball. He responds to the question ,before I could ,to say that it is call “backsliding, most people my age do it.”

My blood started to boil and one thing came to mind when I thought I would speak out “Fruit of the Spirit!” I thought about what Jesus wants me to be like and before I knew it I was thinking of another topic besides the remark that had just cut me to the core.

I know you have heard others say “Oh that boy is a bad apple.” Then I thought ,what makes an apple bad? It can be alot. Some times it gets banged up in the hustle of trying to get to it’s place. Maybe it had a worm to eat it out. Perhaps it is just too sweet to ever be able to eat. Alot of things can make it go bad.

We are like this apple. We let things that are around us cause more damage than they should and we end up this battered up mess that is bitter and nasty to have. Or we let people’s words eat us from the inside out. Everything that was once enjoyed by others we have allowed to be destroyed by hate. Some times we wait to long instead of just acting.We become no good because what we are made to be never comes. Yes people do wait to get saved and never ended saved.Some just think to highly of themselves and never realize that they are to much to handle. Bad apples are not good to have.

I think that missing a church service to be with our loved ones is not being a bad apple. So let me get some one all bent out of shape.

My family comes before my local place of worship. I would trade a church building in a minute for the love that my family gives. I don’t have to be in a building to worship my God. I can worship Him any where. I would trade it in for any person I knew. Like them or not people are valuable than a building.

God before anyone or anything! My God comes before my family and friends however! God is not a building, He is not an alter, or a collection plate.God is greater than anything I think of and because of His love I would never put Him after any one or a anything.Something about God though is that God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in the spirit. I come to church to fellowship and hear and learn about God. I can do the same thing at Krystal’s or at home. We put God in this box that is a church and say “People come to see you here God.”God is with people not buildings.YES people do but those who wish to be like Christ need to break the box and say from now on God is everywhere and they need to understand it. God is really at home, at work, in your car, in China. He is everywhere and you can follow Him everywhere.

I want to be like my God. I want to love, show compassion, be right in my motives, not lie, not tell rumors, not talk to people rude, and not put my Father in a Brick box that only the elite can see. I want to take God to the world. I want to worship God anywhere. Backsliding is giving up.Some do it more slowly than others and maybe some fall swiftly. It is hard to backslide when you are growing every day. You cannot go but one way. Forward or backwards. Not both! You follow and worship all the time no matter where you are or backslide. I don’t have to go to a building to love God more than I do.

Why Lowes

The only reason I tell people to go to Lowe's for what they need is not the fact that I work through them. It is the fact that one of my biggest problems with myself is my low tolerance to poor customer service. It is a problem that I have been working to handle better. The fact that I tell people to go to Lowe's is the same reason I don’t like going to the rare visit of K-Mart.
Customer service is something that can be taught. Home Depot doesn’t teach it. I recently went to Home Depot and what I found was that it took almost 25 minutes to find an employee, who was out back talking on His cell phone,who said he could help me. The employee told me that item I needed, which was one(1) tube of white chaulk was on the top shelf, which meant that he had to get a fork lift. Problem! He was not certified to operate a fork lift. The kind fellow said to wait right here and he would return with some one who could drive the lift.
He did. Another man returned with Him and looked up at the top shelf. Yeah I will have to go and get a lift truck he said. So about now I am thinking “Did this guy think that we were lying to Him?” I waited though. After 15 minutes, I was close to being in the store for an hour now, I went to see where he had went. I located him in the back with the stock. He was talking about beer to a co-worker. So I started to walk off. The man saw me and made it to me when I was half way to the door. He told me that his boss had needed a minute with him and he would now go and find the lift and retrieve….”What was it you wanted again sir?” My only response was this”Lowe's.” Then I walked out.
Customer service makes a company. Home Depot likes to focus on people who buy in bulk. Home Depot and Lowe's are about the same when it comes to price of product. To go and into a place though and have to wait for an hour to get a three dollar product s unreal. I strongly suggest you save the headache you are sure to endure and go to where they like to help you.

Wii Time! Starting at 5:27P.M.

Yeah thats right. I managed to get a hold of one. I have only been able to play once since they were released in a place where I had to split it between about 15 people. I was left wanting more of the Wii. SO today as I sat at my desk I thought to myself....
"I must have one today!"
The next thing I thought was of all the people who have said that they are trying to get their hands on one and have been trying for weeks to months at a time.
So I did the only thing I could. I called several places. All sold out. The more places that I called and was told no Wii for me the more I wanted one. So I chose to take a trip with my girlfriend to go and find one. This worked out nicely because she ended up going in half. Turns out she wanted on just has bad as I do.
We went to Target. Target had been sold out for a few weeks they told us. Then on to Circuit City. They were nice. We could come back on Sunday morning at 9 am and stand in line for voucher. We think not. We then flew across the street to Wal-mart. They informed us that just about an hour ago they sold their last one. This was two blocks from where we spend the last 45 minutes.(45 because my girlfriend loves target's make-up collection) So they were awesome. They called another store bu no avail.
By now I was thinking "I will not have a Wii right now."
My girlfriend then picked up her phone and used 411 to get the Wal-Mart in west Knoxville. About two minutes later we racing down the interstate at around 75. They had one left. We made it to the store only after missing the exit. My girlfriend then tells me to drop her off at the front and she will go and get it,if it is still here.
She tells me I will run and get it and if need be fight some one over it. Now she never gets in a hurry. We are late for about everything. Not this time though.
Before I could stop the seatbelt was off and she was running into the store. I parked and started in. Every step I keep expecting to see her come back to me with her head down. I made it back to the electronic department to see her standing there while the guy handed her the Wii from the glass case. She was out of breathe and sweating.
Turned out she might have wanted one worse then mer. She ran all the way across Wal-Mart, almost knocked over a Mexican, but she got it.
Why am I telling you this story. I was hooking my Wii up at 7:06P.M. People spend months looking for these great machines. I was lucky to find one and be home in under 2 hours. I am happy about that and just wanted to tell you. Oh yeah and the Wii rocks!

Will God make me build an Ark?

A few weeks ago I went to the movies and watched Evan Almighty (FYI= This is nothing like Bruce Almighty. Evan Almighty is a really good movie with a lot of Bible history to it.) and I got to wondering? Why has God not ever asked anything of me like He did Noah?
I know that God promised not to flood the earth! I know this.
"I was thinking what would be my Ark? "
"What would be my flood?"
Then it hit me. BAM! It is so simple. Let me share with you what I picked up on.
Go does not need me to build an ark because Jesus is the ark! The flood that we face is so many things. Persecution, people, unbelievers, but mostly just my sin. I cannot survive these floods. I would never be able to escape the water. It would always be there soaking me, pulling me under, taking my very life.
That my friend is where the ark comes into play at. Jesus was sent to be that way. I can get on my. That would mean to follow Him. Once I am on there I can start calling others to join. My Jesus has made a way for me to stay above the waters. No matter how hard they try they can never again even spot my shoulder with the smallest rain drop from the clouds. I have my shelter, my needs, and my salvation in Him. How great it is to me saved by grace.
But now I was at a stand still.... God said he would never flood the earth again. I know the obvious meaning to that. Then I thought. Go will never doom mankind but what if we go to the water? That is meaning, to stay in sin and never get on the ark(Jesus). That is not God's doing! That is our doing. We allowed ourselves to be flooded with the sin. We bring about our own death. So we have to pick. Do I drown or get on my ark. I will tell you which one makes sense to me. I would be swimming today!

Pray Request

The daughter of one of the guys I with at Lowe's today died in a car crash. The guys name is Patrick. He is the Manager over several Lowe's Warehouses in East Tennessee. He is a loving family man. I just ask that you pray for peace to come to him and for this to be used to glorify God some how. I don't always see what God is doing but that is why he is God.

Post Traumatic Moving Stress Syndrome

It has been two months since we closed and started to make our house our home. We have come along way but now we are hitting the stressful part. We are at end with each other at times. The title of this blog is Post Traumatic Moving Stress Syndrome. I believe that this is wha we are both dealing with right now.
We both now share a house.
We both realize that this is hand.
While we are happy to be together we feel a desire to have a safe room in the house.
We are not to used to the neighborhood.
Tired from 50 hour work weeks.
Then another 20 hours work on the house.
Plus the gym.
Really the best way I think to deal with the stress of living in a shared house is to stop working so much and go out sometimes. I am taking her to see the new Harry Potter movie this weekend and I believe that will reduce alot of or tension. It is stressful when you make these changes but remember that true love and concern will always out way the bad.

The Problem With Most Bloggers!

I am read blogs about "What makes a bad blog!?"
Well they all say it is those who blog for only about two weeks and then stop because they have received no feedback or have had people disagree with them.
Some say that it is random color patterns that make blogs less enjoyable.
While others say that it is the topics.
No all three of the reasons that you see listed above can make up for some. If you however want to know the real reason that I believe most people's blogs are labeled as "unsuccessful" is that some people are to nice.
People like to complain. Bloggers seem to do this too much. There is a difference between having your voice heard and then complaining,
Those who seem to complain too much appear to have a higher number of viewers. Why is this? Because people get along better when they both disagree about something.
EXAMPLE : Two people are filled with hate for each other. We will say that these two people are neighbors. They fight all the time. They both have no trespassing signs on their fences to let the other on know that they are not welcome. Both neighbor's have children. Their children get along well and behave well around one another. Yet this does not make any type of impact on the people. They go about not liking each other and not talking unless to yell for infractions on their space.
Now their is a problem. A new neighbor has arrived. They both despise him more than each other. Before long you see the two talking and planning ways to avoid and inconvenience the newbie. This is how the world works.

We cannot get along when we agree but if we both disagree we form an alliance to knock out or new threat. The world works this way and so does the sphere that we blog on. It is a sad fact that human hate is the same force that connects us.
Look at 9-11. A member of the KKK would soon enough join with a black man to eliminate the new threat then to just have made a peaceful world to start with.
SO the next time you are looking at a blog and say this " This guy sucks at blogging! All he is talking about is his kids and dogs. Are you really upset about the writing or the lack of relation to life that is in his blog. Nice guys finish last.

Failed to Set Xfermode

What is that? Yeah I am asking that too. It is the result of Live Cd Ubuntu. Turns out that some downloads are not as simple has others. While a search to ensure that the site I downloaded from had some credit to it's name I did not check the satisfaction with the actual download. I went to a site the download went smoothly although way to slow.
Let put it this way. I use 8 meg internet. The download started around 11 last night. This morning it was still needing five hours.
What? Okay I handled that okay although it was ridiculous.
However when I went to boot up from the optical drive things went weird. I entered the Bios and placed the Cd Drive as the first place for my HP to start downloading. Then moved on. I made it to the Ubuntu Start and Installation Screen. I then click on the Start and Installation item.
After that I was sent directly to my worst skill. Command Mode. Yeah I am horrible at that right now. The message about was the only thing that would come up so lets hope that downloading from a different site will give a better result.
Can any one please tell me what the world "Failed to Set Xfermode" means?

Making A Switch

So tonight is the night that I have chosen. I am not actually making a complete switch though. Linux Ubuntu Live CD will be my way of slowly moving into the O.S.. In the fall I start to school. I have become some what good at operating Windows(which is not that hard to do) and at trouble shooting and tweaking Windows( Which can be a challenge at time).
So I thought well I guess now it the time to start learning the Linux O.S.. There are several variations of Linux you can run but Ubuntu seems to be the most user friendly to date. I am now waiting on the O.S. to download so it can be burned to a disk. The cool thing about Linux is that it is no a pushy O.S.. It will not stomp out you Windows settings. You can run it at the same time as you run Windows.
This little trick is done by eighter booting up from a second hard drive or using the Live CD. In which case you just put it in the CD drive and then boot up.
Now dont think that this is just with Linus that you can maintain dual O.S.s. X.P. and Vista can also be run at the same time give you have the second hard drive.
The bottom line is that Linux is still and will always be gear toward programmers(which is a good thing if you ask me), but they are making it common user friendly which is fantastic. If you need to know about Linux the one thing you need to know is don't be afraid of it. If you are afraid to switch completely then use the Live CD or run it on a PSP. You will like the feaure that it offers. To learn more about Linux ( note I said to learn not to download, that is a choice that you chose. Four Rules To Make Your Browsing Safer

Below is a short list that will help to keep you safe from Internet crimes. Read and obey to ensure that your browsing does not become a crash course of things you should have known before you ever lay a hand in any browser.
1. Dump I.E.- Why do you ask? Hackers use the mainstream browser known as Internet Explore. Millions of people use it and that makes it candy for hackers. It is the law of averages. The people use a browser the more targets a hacker has. I use Firefox. Is great and updated constantly. It will reduce your chances of theft better than any other tip here.
2. Criminals tend to be dumb- When viewing sites if you notice alot of bad spelling, run on sentences, and just ignorant writing....BEWARE! Phishing is the root of many hackings.
3. Look for the Lock- If you type in your banks address and you are about to give personal information then look at the bottom right corner of your browser. You should see a pad-lock. It should be closed. If it is not then you may want to call your bank and try to have them e-mail you their link(most have no problem doing this). Then you just click and save the address to you bookmarks.
4. Watch where you are going- Lets say your bank sends you an email with it's url in it. They need you to respond to it. Think to your self? What should my banks url say? If you bank at Suntrust or Home Federal then there is a good chance the url should not U.K. or China in it.
5. Don't be dumb- Not trying to be rude but when you click on advertisement to get your free Sony Vaio F3 you sort of have it coming. Be smart.

Ten Thousand Years

We have all heard the song. Amazing Grace how sweet the sound…..
You know this one but have you ever really thought about the words? Lets check out on verse. In the last verse it says……
” When we’ve been there ten thousand years we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise.”
This speaks to me. It is nice to know that eternity is what the Bible says it is…FOREVER. After being in heaven 10,000 years there are still endless days to worship our Lord. Think about it. You might has well not even count the days. There are so many of them that we cannot count that high. Abundant life.
There might as well just be a calendar that titles

and so on.
It will never end.Praise God!

People are different. You should know this if you are able to read a blog. The catch to this is though is that we are created different yet equal. Think about that! How can two people who are completely different in thoughts, words, and actions be equal? What if their mouth is foul? He is equal to the motivational speaker that you find at the college and professional level.The bad driver is equal to the race NASCAR driver. It is true.
I am no better than anyone else. However I sometimes start to think I am and if I don’t watch it,I could fall into the trap believing that people have a higher value. We think of wealthy people as people we cannot replace and the poor as just another ditch digger.( Equal means we all have the value). And most of the time we are working toward a cause of the wealthy.
With out us ditch diggers the wealthy would have no foundation for their homes or company buildings, With out the rich? We need them to pay for the checks to feed our family. They need the building to work in. You see my point. We need each other. Lets start letting people see that.

Time Alone

Remember Martha from Luke 10:38-42. Well in case you don’t….
Jesus came to visit Martha and Mary in an undisclosed village on the way to Jerusalem. Martha invited Jesus in but once He came she got caught up in cooking this huge dinner. I mean after all Jesus is here.Wouldn’t you want to fix Him a meal fit for a king! Yeah me too. She gets frustrated though. She ask Jesus if it wasn’t unfair for her to do all the work while Mary just sit there with Him and asked Him to send Mary to help her cook.Jesus told her that you worry about things that don’t matter. Only one thing does. Mary as figured it out and it will not be taken away from her.
Now I recently made this statement at a Bible Study and got some rather uncomfortable looks “Martha is the typical Christian. She is too worried about things that are not really important.” So let me make my statement clear to you.
Prayers are not answered because we don’t pray because we don’t have time to pray. We don’t read our Bible because we are too busy. We don’t do God’s work because we focus too much on our work.It is not that important at all. Jesus is the only thing that does matter. This is why Moses had to go up the mountain, why the people had to wander in the wilderness, why we have an alter, why Jesus Himself went to pray alone. We need to let things be and trust God. If we are spending time with God then he will not let us fall. Time alone with God is something that we should work toward having. Make it a point to set yourself aside time for Him. Start small. Really. Start out with 15 minutes a day in complete peace talking and listening to God(read your Bible He willl talk to you). Then once you realize that it is a must go for 30. Keep going until you break. Because Jesus is what counts. watch Him, wait for Him, spend time with Him, Love Him.

Over the last few nights I have had some great talks my friend. We have talked about John The Baptist, Jesus’ Birth, should we hate Satan or just hate his ways, and last night once saved always saved. It was a good long talk in which we both had a lot to say about the subject.

Romans 10 :9-10 says……”If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” NLT

Huh.!? So what about those who will come to Jesus in the end to hear ” depart from me I never knew you!” Didn’t I cast out demons and do many great things in your name?
I never knew you? Did this man know Jesus? No he didn’t! Even though he cast out demons and did some really cool stuff in Jesus name he must not have understood Jesus and how to get into His arms.Faith is what gets you there.

James said that faith with out works is dead faith and works with out faith is worthless work. Yes he did say that. So I have come to this answer that most won’t like…….

Why take a chance? I am very much unable to say at this point if we are saved always no matter what we do. I don’t know. I am looking and waiting for the answer to come to me about this topic. Until the day when I get to heaven why would you need to take a chance about this. Just follow Jesus and never let up. Keep learning and obeying Him the very best you can.

Purchased 1626 from local natives for 24 dollars in beads and trinkets.That was a pretty good deal right?! Well how about this for size….
If that would have been invested into an interest-bearing account ,compounding at just 8 percent annually, as of early 2003 you would have had….272 trillion dollars. You could buy the island of Manhattan all the building and everything that is in it and change left over to pick up a few more smal cities. So why aren’t more people investing in the future of there family with an IRA, Mutral Fund, some thing that bears interest?
Like I was until a few months ago most are ignorant to how it works. Saving for the future is the rewarding thing to do with each dollar you have to invest in something and can’t figure out. Oh and one more thing If you was to invest $2000 a year into an IRA,for seven years , in forty years it would be a retirement plan worth $944,641. Yeah that is a nice number.

Be an Ambassador!

“So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us.We speak for God when we plead,Come back to God!” 2 Corinthians 5:20
You’ve heard it but how much thought do this title that is given to us.
What does an ambassador do? What do they do? How are they different?
Example- The U.S. ambassador is a representative who is stationed in we will say Uganda. His job is to represent America. Both vocally and in and his actions. They must speak and display a behavior that shows the ways of there home land.
Next time the news shows a picture of the U.S. ambassador look at the surroundings around him. The country,remember we are using Uganda has a perfect example,they are poor,most are starving, and most are sick.
The building he stays in though is top notch, his pockets are deeper than Iraq’s oil wells,the maintance of his health is top priority. He has his own people how care for him.
Why is this? Because he is not from there! His home , The U.S., takes care of him because he is there on there behalf.Home, money , food, everything is taken care of by the U.S.
Now we are called to be ambassadors of God. Our home land….The Kingdom of Heaven.Then we need to represent where we are from vocally and in our actions and if we do how much will God provide for us. No man or nation can ever provide for us like our leader,God, can.TYo see how deep our resources are look into the Ambassador of Heaven Headbook in John 15:16. Be an ambassador!

Becoming Like Christ

If I don’t read the KJV I am sinning. If I slip up and sin and don’t run to tell others about my failure I am hiding an evil life. Today I was asked by my a friend of mine if I was going to attend the night service. I had no intention of doing so and told the truth right there before a small crowd of people.

Before I knew it another man stepped into the conversation. My friend asked me why not and to be honest my girlfriend was getting back to Knoxville and we needed to talk about stuff involving our upcoming wedding and a few other events we will be facing. This man steps up to bat and in a swift blow hits a foul ball. He responds to the question ,before I could ,to say that it is call “backsliding, most people my age do it.”

My blood started to boil and one thing came to mind when I thought I would speak out “Fruit of the Spirit!” I thought about what Jesus wants me to be like and before I knew it I was thinking of another topic besides the remark that had just cut me to the core.

I know you have heard others say “Oh that boy is a bad apple.” Then I thought ,what makes an apple bad? It can be alot. Some times it gets banged up in the hustle of trying to get to it’s place. Maybe it had a worm to eat it out. Perhaps it is just too sweet to ever be able to eat. Alot of things can make it go bad.

We are like this apple. We let things that are around us cause more damage than they should and we end up this battered up mess that is bitter and nasty to have. Or we let people’s words eat us from the inside out. Everything that was once enjoyed by others we have allowed to be destroyed by hate. Some times we wait to long instead of just acting.We become no good because what we are made to be never comes. Yes people do wait to get saved and never ended saved.Some just think to highly of themselves and never realize that they are to much to handle. Bad apples are not good to have.

I think that missing a church service to be with our loved ones is not being a bad apple. So let me get some one all bent out of shape.

My family comes before my local place of worship. I would trade a church building in a minute for the love that my family gives. I don’t have to be in a building to worship my God. I can worship Him any where. I would trade it in for any person I knew. Like them or not people are valuable than a building.

God before anyone or anything! My God comes before my family and friends however! God is not a building, He is not an alter, or a collection plate.God is greater than anything I think of and because of His love I would never put Him after any one or a nything.Something about God though is that God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worshp Him in the spirit. I come to church to fellowship and hear and learn about God. I can do the same thing at Krystal’s or at home. We put God in this box that is a church and say “People come to see you here God.”God is with people not buildings.YES people do but those who wish to be like Christ need to break the box and say from now on God is everywhere and they need to understand it. God is really at home, at work, in your car, in China. He is everywhere and you can follow Him everywhere.

I want to be like my God. I want to love, show compassion, be right in my motives, not lie, not tell rumors, not talk to people rude, and not put my Father in a Brick box that only the elite can see. I want to take God to the world. I want to worship God anywhere. Backsliding is giving up.Some do it more slowly than others and maybe some fall swiftly. It is hard to backslide when you are growing every day. You cannot go but one way. Forward or backwards. Not both! You follow and worship all the time no matter where you are or backslide. I don’t have to go to a building to love God more than I do.

Why Does God Let Us Suffer

1.Suffering loosens our grip on this life. We some times get so involved in
this world that we forget what is really important and we have
to have those things removed from us.

2. Life is not forever. When others we know die we can learn that
life is a gift that is to be taken serious. We have a mission here.
We have to be willing live out that mission because we are not
promised another day. Make the choices God commands while
we can.
3. Suffering builds character. We face trial by fire. Some things we cannot
do with out experiance. Patience, being forgiving toward
others, loving one another. These things come with
experiance. We have to learn to do these things. Even faith
must be build with life experiance. We do not know how our
faith will hold up if everything is easy.
4. Without suffering we would never get saved. Without suffering for sin
here on earth we would never know what the pain that sin
causes. We would never understand how serious sin is if we
didn’t have to pay for some it here. We would never turn
to God and we would be lost. Right and wrong and we would
not know honestly know that without pain.
5. It is our sin that causes pain. We sin we pay. We all sin. We all pay. No
way around that. Our suffering is a direct result of sin.If we
cheat or have sex before marraige we have no reason to say
I got am STD! Why God? How about if we steal and
end up in jail. Any sin wil result in some type of pain. Be
prepared for the price that sin carries.
6. We learn to love God. Without the hard times we would never really know
how good God is. It is when He pulls us through the trouble
that we are in that we really know that God loves us ,thus
we begin to really love God in all His ways.
7. We forget about ourselves. Pearl Harbor, 9/11 had heroes.Heroes who
set the bar could not have done it without the suffering.
In times like that we learn to put others a head of ourselves and
that is what sacrifice is. Laying our lives on the line for some one
or something other than our well being.
This is all I have for now. God is good and He is complex. For us to understand why everything happens we would have to be completely dead and in Heaven. We could go on and on about why God does this our that but the truth is that we can never fully understand Him. The only thing that gets me through alot of things that I deal with is knowing that God does everything for a reason. I don’t understand but my God knows what He is letting happen. Trust is key to facing your suffering.

GODISNOWHERE

God is funny. It is not always easy to see what He is saying. Much like the title of this blog GODISNOWHERE.
Now most people will see this has saying….
God is nowhere
Others however will see it has saying…..
God is now here
We may not always really get what God is saying to us ,so before you make a choice on what God is telling you to do. Then look closely and ask yourself is this what I see or is what God showing me.
You thought I said God is nowhere. I know better than that.

Service

Service-1. activity on behalf of a person. organization, or cause. 2. employment as a domestic worker. 3. military organization or the military. 4. favor. 5. session of public worship. 6. Set of matching dishes. 7. supply, maintain, or repair.
Now ignore all but 1,4 and 7. Why not number 5? Because I am not talking about having a Sunday Service. I am talking about before and after the service.
I am talking about the less so called glorified jobs of the church. Changing the sign, picking up trash before and after the service, sweeping and mopping the floors, pressure washing the pavemnet etc;. Thainks of that nature. Did you know that these services are just as important to the church as the preacher, Sunday school teachers, or other so called gloified positions. Your sevice is valuable to the Lord. On Sundays I watch a young lady go room to room and make sure the classes have coffee and that is beautiful.
Service is not great speaking all the time or being able to donate large sums of cash to the church. Service is doing what yu are able to do. An 8 year old cannot lead a Bible Study for the married couples class but he can hand out bulletins, or pick up trash in the pews. Service is doing what you can when the chance to serve arrives. Do the best you can and work for God. Don’t let it be so complex that you are unable to serve.
KISS-Keep It Simple Stupid.-This is not crude but mere truth in a brute form. Stop thinking so much and serve.

Parting Sins, Parting Water, Same Diffrence

So what I sometimes say this when I pray……
“Thank you for parting my sins and making a way to walk across this world to you.”
The same way that God parted the sea he parted our sin. We are living in this constant state of sin in which we cannot find a way out. The consequences are coming. Death surely awaits if they catch us. So we have no choice except to pray to God to save us from the death that is chasing us. When we do God will do what he to the Jordan and to the red sea. He will move our sins and let us travel the road less taken. We will go through the valley of the shaddow of death. Sin lurking around us. We might look at it some times and say ” Surely this will all come down and I will fall. But if we follow the way that God has made for us we will not be consumed. No we will walk through this life. We will make it to the promised land that flows with milk and honey. We will find the promises of the Lord are true. If we follow Him.
Yes I do believe that it is much like the parting of the sea. I enjoy walking through the valley knowing that my God has pulled my sin off of life so that I can be with Him. If I walk in His plan and not my own plan.

Perhaps Today! Don't be selfish!

I once heard about a doctor that told people for years that they should be ready for Jesus,. He would tell them how He would come like a thief in the night. No one would know. He stressed being ready for Jesus to come back. On His wall he kept a picture that read ” Perhaps Today.”
This is beautiful. It tells the store of hope and of fear. Some are afraid of what will happen when Christ returns. This is mostly due to buying into movies like “End of Days” in which the second coming is focused around Satan coming and destroying the earth and all it’s people. Saved or not they all must perish. This is far from the truth.
The truth is that it will be a sad and tragic day for those who never had a relationship with Jesus. Those who do though will be taken to a place that is so much better it cannot be fully told through any words. The closet you can get is reading “Revelation” (The Last Book of The Bible) which tells of the rapture. However if you have the current thinking that it will be like the “End of Days” you may want to get a study guide or commentary because it is difficult to understand. Ask a church leader if you are still confused about it.It will be a great day for the saved though. Believe that!
I sometimes catch myself being selfish though. I say ” Lord I hope to see you return today.” I am SELFISH like that. There are so many people that are lost and need bell ringers to tell them of Christ and His love and His perfect plan for our lives. We need to be worried about others salvation and less about getting home A.S.A.P.. Perhaps today. We never know. Look for it but don’t be a selfish Christian. Be willing to work and be willing to go through the hardship of living for Christ.

A Statement

Now the lost have ground to try and separate God a little more from our society. With every raising stat and ever article they get more fuel for their war against God.

Should we be mad at them though? No!

Moral restraints on aggressive and sexual behavior are best reinforced by the family.It is our job to guide our family away from this type of life and toward God’s will for our lives.We are to blame.

Company executives say this…”It is a healthy deception-if you care enough to craft an expensive alibi,the logic goes, you must have some tender feeling for the deceived.If there was no demand we would have no company.We didn’t invent lying.We didn’t invent infidelity.We just found a niche in the existing market.”
Well first off it is not a market. It is cheating and it is not right at any time for any reason.Cashing in on peoples infidelity makes you have the sin on your hands. You are lying to people and destroying lives.You have made it more acceptable now than ever. This is what we have come to. We now have a company that helps people lie and get away with cheating.This is completely unacceptable to me and I know that my Bible says that it is unacceptable.

Glow In The Dark Christians

You remember when you was a kid and you got a glow in the dark toy, or poster, or some thing else that would glow in the dark. It made you excited. It was different. You could help but to love it. They are cool. I still like them.
I am about to be short and sweet. We need to glow in the dark as Christians. In order for the object to glow you have to hold it under the light. You have to let it charge.If you went to bed and woke up in the middle of the night you would notice your toy was getting dim if not unable to glow any at all. Why? Because you have to let it have the energy that it gets from the light fot it to be able to glow.
What does this mean to us. We have to put God’s word inside of us. It is what lets us glow. We have to hide God’s word inside of us as much as possible so that when we go into a dark place we can shine for God. The more we have in us the longer we can shine for God. The more of His word we have in us the longer we stand against the darkness. Little word=small amount of fight in us. Lots of word= much ground to stand on. Glow we must.

And She Wrote.....

Ina Hughes wrote her story in the local newspaper the other day and wrote she wrote was stunning yet it should be expected by now. She was talking about Baptist who were meeting to discuss if gays should be allowed to become members of the Church. Now I agree that if some one is openly living in sin they should be restricted. Any sin at all that is known and no effort is made to repent then something needs to be done yet in a way that lines up with Christ’s teachings. She was against this and made the point that all sin is equal and if we do that than any one who struggles with sin could not be allowed to join or be baptized. I have to say that I do agree that we draw the line at what we like and what we don’t.
Then she said the thing that made me growl. “I don’t believe same sex relations are a sin anyway.But if they were it would make no difference in my view.”
Well she should probably read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.Then she would she starting with creation that it is man and a woman. Or maybe the fate of a couple of towns that were destroyed because of sin, one of them being sexual sin’s with the same sex. Or how about Romans 1:27…
“And then men,instead of having normal sexual relations with woman, burned with lust for each other.Men did shameful things with other men,and has a result of this SIN, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.”
Is that clear at all about what is. We have several churches who support gay relations.They are under the false images that God changes with the times. Well that is a lie of the times. We continue to slip away from God and the media provides no relief. We need to stop letting so much sin go hidden and call it like it is but we are to hate the sin love the sinner. God help the self proclaimed nation of God(The US).We are losing God in school, work, home, and slowly but surely The Church.

Yeah you heard those words growing up and you knew what it meant. Fight Time! You were ready! You would Yell Back “Don’t you talk about my Momma!” And the fist would fly.
Yet what if they talked about your Dad? You would not be so quick to fight would you? What about God? STOP BEING AFRAID! Muslims die for a dead God and yet we serve the only true living God and let people talk bad about Him right in front of us. You don’t here God’s name much unless yu are in Church or at Dolly Wood! When we do it is to the tune of God —- of Jesus——Christ!
It is time to grow up. Look them in the eye and tell them ” Hey man that is my Father you are Talking about! Easy?” Be a follow. No He doesn’t need your help but if love you God you need to stand for Him. Don’t let God be a word for the foul mouth fools of this world. Keep it Holy and Pure!

Get Out of There

When we face our problems why should we face them alone? SHouldn't there be more help for the needy? What is really going on wiht our elderly? Where is God? Where is the church?
The church the body of believers assigned to carry out His eternal will. To love one another has He has loved us. What happened to those people who used to help. Yeah the church on the corner has a food pantry.
All you have do is go them and .......
WHAT?!?! Direct disobediance. In the last statement that Jesus gave to them had a line that included this line "Go to the ends of the earth and preach the gospel!" The gospel is the life of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ lived for love and died for love. His love for us and yet we make those who are in need come to the building that we set aside to worship God.
Lets offend some people who are reading this. Jesus went to the poeple from the start. He left His kingdom in Heaven to come to Earth. Yet we are so stubborn has to refuse to even leave the safe haven we call church. There is a reason taht stories of Jesus are few and far in the Bible. Because He was not always in one. Nor should you be. Yeah some of you have that look on your face right now has you read this. I cannot believe he just said that. Well right it down. Leave your church every now and again and go out to serve. We joke about the people who only show up for Easter and The Christmas services but we never see what we fail to show up for. Buddy walks, helping those old people that are without help, visiting children's hospitals, praying with the homeless. Yeah we drive up and them a hamburger do we touch them? EWWWWW.... Yeah put your hand on their shoulder and pray for them. Get outside of that building and go kive the Bible. You enjoy reading it or keeping on your night stand. Try living it, breathing and sharing it. Not just with your Sunday school class but with those on the streets.
Ever heard people say I am a church going christian? They normal are smiling or has the old people call it "pop'n their suspenders!" Here is the thing. That is good you go to church. Nice work. Now try to be a Christ following christian. I bet you miss your pews and wish you would have bought some better walking shoes. Think about that for a little bit.

I Just Don't Know

Is God proud of me.I tell myself yes but at the end of most days when I look back on how I lived during the day. How could he be.I am inclined to say no. A confession of my sins and that is that on that. Yet it is sometimes hard for me to do it. I see my day and realize that I am just sorry in all ways. I ask God questions in prayers and I know that he hears. I read the Bible and learn what about His answers. The one part I struggle with is my forgiveness. I don't deserve and that is more true everyday. I lose my way and go about my own. I am judgmental and a lair, a killer and a thief. For my sins my best friend the Lord Jesus was beaten. The slapped his face, tore of His clothes, whipped him, laughed at Him, nailed Him to a cross. All of this and the world views it as no great loss. But where would we be with out the blood stained cross. I have nailed Him again atleast one dozen times today. I spit in face and left Him in shame. Yet He loves me enough to just let it go. Thats if I fall down and tell of of the things I do that do not polish His crown. I am sorry dear Lord I was lost then found then ran away. I promise to come home and with Him I will stay. It never really works out just that way. I keep running from you until you jerk the chain. i then come back with my head hanging low. I promise to do better but really I just don't know.

Those Dirty Christians

This is a classic example of how some traditions should die off.

In the 1500's there was a huge debate over a serious issue. The issue…… Being naked is shameful! Now you know this. You wouldn't go out into public without any clothes on. I hope not. We however are not talking about being in public. We are not even talking about being in your house alone and not wearing anything.
We are talking about the type of being naked that comes from being in the bathroom. In the tub to be specific. Yeah no joke. It was so shameful to be naked that even being naked in the tub was shameful.
Now the logic goes that you would just bath with your clothes on. Sorry not these guys. They just made the choice to NOT BATH.
Yeah. That tradition needed to be thrown out.

O.B. the name is familiar. You know what it is. These female hygene products have a name that is easy to remember. Do you know what the letters O.B. mean ? Without Napkin.
The birth of razor blades started around 1820, later on toward the 1900's we got closer to what we use. A man, who's name has for some reason been forgotten by me, developed a razor that had multiple blades. When the razor would get dull you would pop it out and another blade would pop up in it's in place from down the handle of shaver . This man was a soldier and got the idea from a machine gun.
The same mam who created the machine gun shaver also invented the electric shaver. He was in Alaska on military duty when he realized that shaving with the Alaska water was sort painful. I don't like shaving with cold sink water, let alone Alsaka cold water. So he made his second invention. The first electric shaver was a device that needed two hands. One hand required you to hold the motor while you held on tightly to the shaver to keep it steady. Some one bought this idea. And before long began to sell this state of the art, high tech, invention.

Muhammad Once Said(This is true)

I was learning a little more about the history of bathrooms and bathroom items when the book used a statement by Muhammad and goes a little some thing like this…..

"A mouth that is cleaned and prays is the equivalent of 70 prayers."
I really don't know what to say about this. The book went on to describe how he was literally talking about a mouth that had been cleaned as in hygene cleaning. I am speechless at this one.
Prayer is prayer. I am so thankful that my Lord says come as you are. He makes me clean the right way. He does it the way that a toothbrush and five gallons of mouth wash could never due. Coming to God in prayer cloud like clean never has any less meaning than a person who prays with zero hygene habits.

Rejected Prayer

Picture this. Five people sitting in circle praying. One at a time each person prayers for a topic. Our topic was lost women. Other groups had lost men and teenagers. As we closed our prayer session I was asked why I didn't prayer for the salvation of the lost.
I said "I didn't feel lead to."
And that was true. I didn't want to prayer for what four other people had just asked for. I prayed for something different. Yes I want them to be saved. More than anything I do. However I want them to be good mothers. I want them to have happy families, to do good in there school, to have a job they love and are good at, to be honest and pure. I want this so that their children are not cold to love. I want them to have the skills that are required to be able to accomplish their goals. I want this so that when they are saved it will pour into their character and they will make for burning hot Christians.
Likewise, just because they are lost does not mean that I cannot pray for them to live happy while they are alive. Why should I not pray for these people to be happy.
When I was new to living with God I used to wonder "Why am I struggling and they are doing so good?" By what standards was I looking at? Not the right ones. I have an eternal gift that some will never have because they will not accept that their ways are not the right ways. That being a good person will get you into Heaven. I am happy with what I have and I am learning to manage what have. Some people do not have these peace in their lives because they do not know how to live.
Young mothers are depressed and making bad choices because they do have the skills to be a good mother. They don't know how to live. Homeless people cannot usually manage money. They don't know how. Battered women do not know how to escape. When people have all this on their minds they cannot carry on daily functions and some find it impossible to focus on the eternal things because they have so much they worry about.
Should they put Christ before these issues? Yes! Do they? Alot do not. So why can I not pray for them to have good, organized, happy lives. Can it hurt? No. I pray that they come to Christ and I also pray that they have fun, families, responsibilities, and the required skills to hold it all together.
The lost need prayer for both. All need salvation, all need peace, all of us need to play a role in that.
Maybe you can do something for them to try to display God's love for them!!! Try mowing that old cranky man's yard. His wound from fighting communist in Vietnam makes it hard on him. That widowed old lady needs her gutters cleaned, the young lady across the street cannot do or afford an oil change.
People every where are screaming HELP! I CANNOT KEEP IT TOGETHER! OH GOD IF YOUR THERE HELP! PLEASE SEND ME SIGN IF YOUR THERE!
You are right across the street looking at her flat tire as she cries because she is late for finals. You see a man walking with his child in the rain with no umbrella. They are calling to God. Is He sending you to help them? What can we do to serve God? Anything is better than nothing. Serving the lost with prayer and little actions here and there is the best way for us to lead them to ask about to God.
I pray that prayer because they need help and they long for hope. When they ask why you gave them that umbrella you can say I think God wanted you to have it.

The only way to share my faith!

At on point in time I was willing to commit myself to the ministry of evangelism . I wasn't all that good at it. My grammar is poor. I lack the enthusiasm so want and don't have enough for other. So for about two and a half years I spend all my time cramming the Bible down peoples throats. Every word I said had to do with scripture. It hit me one day that the only person I ever lead to Christ was during a game of spades. Since then the approach has changed. Here is why……

1. People don not want to here a bunch of my mumbo jumbo.
That is it. We talk to much. We bore the crap out of them. Without trying we belittle them into thinking that we are dull and simple minded people who never have fun. I love the John the Baptist preaching but enough of it on the lost and they will go utterly annoyed at your constant rambling on and on. There are other ways you can share what you believe. And guess what? They can be somewhat fun for everyone!
I am the worst basketball player that has ever lived yet here lately I am finding myself playing it a lot. Why? Because those who I play with get to know me. They see that when I am fouled I do not get mad and cuss out the one who fouls me. When I fall I do not say those four letter words to show my distaste for what as happened. They see the way that I act and that speaks more than any words I could ever mumble. They get to see that being a person who lives for God is not always working and studying. We are allowed to have fun.
On that note I have had the honor of having three people help me lately in ministry fields that I have been doing solo for a while. Why are they helping? Because it is fun. We have fun sharing love with other people. They might not even know that by helping me they are fulfilling God's will. God is moving even if they don't know it. They way that they live is the way that we love God. We can teach other the will of God without telling them they are in His will. They have the same gift God that you and I do. We sense when we have done something good that has fulfilled God's will. That joy inside that burns to say "Yes! This is great I am helping. I am doing right!" Our conscious. It is a creation of God.
The Bible says that "Man's heart is wicked from his youth." We are not able to know what is right then. When cannot create right. Only God can. The sense that we are living in way according to His will on comes from Him. No matter if it is the Spirit saying inside of us that this is right or the Word telling us what to do. It is created by God. We shouldn't be so quick to thump them over the head with the Bible. we should be quick to show them right way to serve. This is the only way I have found that sharing my faith is a success. After all talk is cheap isn't it now.

New to Here

I am new to the Google format. I have however post blogs on a blog that is popular to many. It ranks with in the top 200 in the world. I have them behind to find my own. Several events lead to this change. I am happy to be here by self. While I must admit I am sort lacking the interface that I desire I do however enjoy the simple nature of locations format.
